Aston and Cote Play Group – Oxfordshire

Client:  Aston & Cote Play Group Committee

Contract Value:  £220,000.00

Project Detail:  Demolition of the existing play school building.  Design & construction of a new bespoke timber frame & cedar clad play group facility.

By working closely with the Aston & Cote play group committee from the design stage through to the completion we were able to produce a new extremely high standard and cost effective facility. 

Working closely with schools from the early design stage, we can help keep costs down by presenting cheaper alternatives.

Bloxham Children’s Centre – Oxfordshire

Client:  Oxfordshire Rural Children’s Centre Project

Contract Value:  £350,000.00

Project Detail:  Construct & build new Children’s Centre including internal alterations.

Working with Hall and Ensom Architects we were able to produce a high standard facility for the school’s children centre.  We also carried out extensive refurbishment and decorating works to the school.

Due to the high quality of our workmanship we have had much repeat business and are the school’s preferred contractor.

North Leigh Memorial Hall – Oxfordshire

Client: North Leigh Parish Council

Contract Value: £750,000.00

Project Detail: New Memorial Hall.

The contract involved demolition of an existing 1930’s Village Hall, followed by the construction of a bespoke new memorial hall with separate youth centre facilities, library and village post office on the existing site.

The main building was constructed using a portal frame structure, with laminated timbers and glazed electrically operated roof lanterns.

Crawley – Oxfordshire

Client:  Private Client

Completion Date:  December 2010

Project Detail:  New two storey extension and external works to create a secluded   courtyard setting.

The extension has been built out of Cotswold natural stone with red brick quoins, and slate roof, to complement the existing barn conversion.  Bespoke German manufactured gliding doors were installed in the gable wall.

A large Cotswold stone retaining wall with a sunken patio was formed out of Indian sandstone and slate feature panels to blend in with the external house colours.

Charlbury – Oxfordshire

Project Detail: New timber frame house.

A new timber frame house built for a client who was looking to have a highly sustainable and environmentally friendly home. 

Timber frames offer the advantage of taking less time to construct on site and greater proportion of sustainable materials are used.  Incorporating the latest insulation techniques and technologies allows for excellent sound and heat insulation properties.

Cumnor Hill – Oxford

Project Detail: Construction of a 1000 sqft two storey extension and the later refurbishment of 2 En-suite bathrooms.

Construction of a two storey extension for a private client on Cumnor Hill, Oxford.  Consisting of a large kitchen breakfast room with hand made ash units and granite surfaces and 2 bedrooms and a wet room design shower room above.   Electric underfloor heating was installed throughout with specialist joinery from local suppliers.

 We later carried out extensive refurbishment works to, two en-suite bathrooms, which included the installation of a bespoke glass steam room, Italian tiled walls & floors and a wet underfloor heating system.

Field Assarts – Oxfordshire

Project Detail: Renovation of a 18th C Cottage.

Renovation works carried to the cottage included; a new family bathroom with painted wood panelling, bespoke hand made kitchen with quarry tiled floor, repointing to the chimney breast, slate floor tiling and decorating throughout.

Sibford School – Sibford Ferris- Oxfordshire

Project Detail:  New changing room facilities.

RMD constructed the new changing room facilities at Sibford School.  This included changing areas and new shower rooms. Part of the project also included construction of a new plant room and the servicing of mechanical equipment.

The challenges of working round the school schedule and ensuring the site was safe at all times are part of RMD’s everyday disciplines.
